Carbon Credits from Silva Viridis
The carbon credits from Silva Viridis represent the right to proven, actual and securitised CO₂ reductions. These are allocated via an established allocation system in a verifiable, traceable and balance sheet-effective manner.

CO₂ reduction through Silva Viridis

The right to the actual and actively recurring CO₂ reduction, which is transferred to Silva Viridis by forest owners and operators of renewable energy plants (RE), forms the basis of the carbon credits generated and traded by Silva Viridis. With their support, these carbon credits are generated, certified and utilised.
The CO₂ reductions are based either on the actual removal of a tonne of CO₂ from the atmosphere (removal) or the avoidance of the emission of a tonne of CO₂ (avoidance).

CO₂ reduction process -
Forest

CO₂ reduction effect photosynthesis

CO₂ reduction through forests (natural CO₂ removal) - Forests remove more CO₂ from the atmosphere every day, second by second, converting it into oxygen & biomass.

CO₂ reduction process - Production of Renewable Energies (RE)

CO₂ neutral energy

CO₂ reduction from renewable energies (technical
CO₂ avoidance) - the production & use of renewable energies displaces fossil fuels and thus avoids their
CO₂ emissions.
